I met Denise through a women’s group, and during one of our conversations I shared that I was of a “certain age” and beginning to feel frumpy and unsure of my style. Denise suggested she could help me rediscover my personal style, and I’m so glad I said yes.
After a whirlwind of measurements, color analysis, hairstyle guidance, and a much-needed closet purge, I emerged with a clear sense of my style, a flattering color palette, and a fresh, unfussy hairstyle that truly reflects who I am.
While there was a bit of learning and adjustment at first, once I understood which styles and colors worked best for me, shopping became enjoyable again—and I no longer shy away from having my photo taken.
Most importantly, I’ve gained a renewed sense of confidence, both personally and professionally.

I ’ve never enjoyed clothes shopping. Honestly, it made me anxious. After menopause, my body changed in ways I wasn’t prepared for, and suddenly nothing fit right or felt like me. As an interior decorator working from home, I could hide for a while… leggings and oversized sweaters, no one’s looking. But then I started doing in-home client visits, and I realized I needed to look more put-together. The problem? I felt completely clueless about color, style, and what actually flattered me now.
I was hesitant to work with a stylist. But Denise made it feel safe from day one. No judgment. No pressure to buy a whole new wardrobe. She helped me understand myself… and discovering I’m a muted summer (not the autumn I’d assumed for years!) was a real “oh, that’s why” moment. We went through my closet together and kept only what actually works. She built me an inspiration board and helped me put together a travel capsule wardrobe on short notice, which I used immediately.
What I loved most was having an objective coach I trusted completely. She connected me with a makeup artist and gave me honest hair color advice that pulled everything together.
I’m more confident now. Not because I’m trying harder… but because I finally get what works for me. Getting ready is easier. And I actually like my clothes.
